General Settings: iTunes Wi-fi Sync

Many iPad users will not use this setting, nor is it necessary to install and use iTunes on a computer. However, using iTunes on a computer to manage your iOS devices and browse, download and manage apps can be very useful. This feature is only available if you have installed the iTunes software on to a computer and connected your iPad with that computer. Once an iPad has been connected to your iTunes account you can sync your apps, music, and books with iTunes via wi-fi. The following video will provide greater detail about enabling this feature.
